| Guidelines for BAC Services
The following are guidelines for obtaining funding for your situation.
1. Serious childhood illnesses are the primary focus for the funds.
2. Sometimes we can help parents who are seriously ill with funding if their health will affect the caring of their children. Call first for approval to submit application for this particular circumstance.
3. Funding may be given for payment (partial or full) of doctor's bills and/or hospital related services including prescriptions not covered by insurance.
4. Assistance with temporary home care as authorized by physician
5. Temporary rental of medical equipment.
6. Funding for travel for out-of-state doctor or hospital visits.
7. BAC relies on social workers or competent medical staff to investigate and verify the needs of each applicant.
8. BAC has paid back rent (in case of an eviction notice) if there is a serious situation involving children who are ill or other catastrophic circumstances.
If there is a special circumstance not covered by the above, or if you have any questions, please call Bobbie Merrigan at 775/329-2424 for approval to submit an application. Download a printable version of the application for assistance.
Available funds are limited. Requests will be handled as quickly as possible.
