Community Champion Award
You know that Reynen and Bardis is a well-known home builder in our area, but did you know that behind the company name is a group of people who are committed to charitable issues in the communities where they live and work?
Reynen and Bardis’ corporate offices are based in Sacramento. They have an office in Reno where they have successfully conducted operations for nearly a decade. They believe in the importance of giving back, whether that be in the form of a financial contribution or donation of valuable time.
To insure their company’s charitable donations stay within our community, Reynen & Bardis makes a $75.00 donation to the Builders Association Charity at the close of escrow from each new home. BAC keeps half of the donation in an unrestricted fund which is used in support of BAC Program Services. The remaining half goes into the Reynen & Bardis restricted fund enabling them to distribute the contribution to the charity of their choosing.
John Reynen is proud of his employees and firmly believes that we all need to give back to the communities where we reside and make our living.
The BAC Charity heroes, Fred Altmann and Dan Ott of AltmannOtt Homes together with Pat Riley of First Horizon Home Loans created this unique program to give back to the community. For every new home built by AltmannOtt Homes and mortgaged through First Horizon Homes Loans, $100 is donated to the BAC charity.
Of the many things that we as builders do for our clients, our community and our friends and family, one of the most rewarding is the giving back a portion of what we make to those in need. The Builders Association Charity has taken the time and effort to provide a way to help us do this to remind us of the importance, help in dealing with the paperwork side of it, insure accountability and allow the Association and the individual Builder to join hands in giving. This is a fantastic opportunity and I challenge all of the members of BANN to get involved. Can anyone think of a reason not to! I would welcome a chance to talk to anyone about this program and how exciting it has been for our Companys employees commented Fred Altmann, President of AltmannOtt Homes.
Joining the Builders Sales Program to give back to the community is Hamilton Homes, Reynen & Bardis and Heritage Bank. Other area builders, mortgage lenders and title companies are being challenged by our heroes to follow their example and make a commitment to donate to the BAC Charity through the Builders Sales Program.
Pat Riley, Vice President and District Manager of First Horizon stated that At First Horizon we work hard everyday to help our clients achieve the dream of home ownership. In addition to this goal, we feel we have a responsibility to give back to the community, especially those who need help financially and physically. Because of this conviction, we set aside a portion of our income on every transaction closed to give back to those who need our help. If every business were to make a similar contribution, the impact for those in need would be tremendous.
Helping those in dire need living in northern Nevada is the goal of The Builders Association Charity and we are grateful for companies like AltmannOtt Homes, First Horizon Home Loans, Hamilton Homes, Reynen & Bardis and Heritage Bank for helping us to make this mission possible.
